Description:        

Delegates will gain an understanding of the fundamental use of the Vision Budget Management program. The entire budgeting cycle, the creation and distribution of budget worksheet templates through to the receipt and import to SunSystems of those worksheets will all be explored.

• Users tasked with generating and posting budget data to SunSystems

• Finance Staff involved in the budgeting process

• SunSystems Administrators

• SunSystems key users

• Internal Support staff

Pre-requisites:   

• A good understanding of SunSystems Ledger Accounting module

• A good understanding of Vision XL

Objectives:

By the end of this course delegates will be able to:

• Understand the concepts behind Vision Budget Management

• Create budget Workbook templates

• Create Budget Transfer Setup files and assign to workbooks

• Import Excel Workbook templates

• Create Database Profiles

• Create new Budgets, Budget Groups and Workbooks

• Import an existing Excel workbook

• Allocate User access to Budgets, Budget Groups & Workbooks

• Edit Budgets, Budget Groups and Workbook definitions

• Understand the functionality of Link XL formulas

• Dispatch workbooks

• Validate workbooks, and import workbooks with updated information

• Understand Status Codes and Version Numbers

• Transfer the budget figures to the Data Warehouse
