Equal Opportunities:

Sapphire has developed employment policies that embody the principles of equal opportunity to meet the needs of its employees and the location in which they operate.

Our belief is the full commitment to upholding and promoting equal opportunities in respect of existing employees and the recruitment of new employees. These principles will extend to all the company's dealing with clients and the general public.

The objectives of this policy are to pursue the following goals:

bullet

Ensure that no employee or job applicant receives less favourable treatment or conditions on the grounds of gender, age, race, nationality, religious beliefs or ethnic origin;

bullet

Ensure that no employee or job applicant receives less favourable treatment or conditions on the grounds of any mental or physical disability;

bullet

Ensure that the recruitment policy for the company remains, as always has been, 'the best person for the job'.

Applications from Customer and Partner employees:

It is Sapphire’s policy not to directly approach an employee of a customer, business partner or other SAP or SunSystems Value added reseller (VAR) with a view to encouraging them to join our organisation. It is our policy to treat all applicants, who want to work for Sapphire equally and fairly, whilst at the same time, being conscious of the resourcing requirements of our customers and partners. Therefore, to ensure amicable relations, the procedure we will follow with successful applicants who are currently employed by one of our customers or partners is:

bullet

The applicant must inform their manager of any Sapphire job offer, prior to resignation.

bullet

The applicant must assure their manager that they applied to Sapphire and that Sapphire in no way solicited their application.

bullet

The applicant must agree to an amicably negotiated release/start date.

bullet

Sapphire will discuss and agree arrangements with the customer/partner for an appropriate withdrawal and offer assistance if necessary to ensure a smooth transition.
